Healthcare Discoveries is conducting a research study of an investigational medication for men and women between the ages of 18 to 70 who are diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.

The study drug is being developed as a possible treatment for type 2 diabetes.

Your diabetes must be controlled with >1500mg of Metformin (Glucophage) and you must have been taking the same dose for 8 weeks or more. You also must not have been treated with any other diabetes medications within the last 12 weeks to qualify for this study.

This study will help determine the safety of the study drug, and how the study drug is absorbed and broken down in the human body. The study drug will be given by mouth.

Vital signs, ECG’s, eye examinations, physical examinations, blood and urine samples, will be performed during the study.

You will need to complete:

a screening visit including an eye examination
Up to 17 overnight stays in our research facility./li>
2 out patient visits
2 post study visits
You may be compensated up to $4,225.00 for your time and travel.
